Last day of Term 2

Today was the last day of Term 2 and let's just say we have all earned ourselves a big rest. I'm looking forward to some relaxing myself.

Some great highlights of the day:
-The big tidy up! Thank you, everyone who helped in some way or the other.

-Some Despicable Me 2 to prepare us for the Minions. We earned a relax!

-Colouring pages everywhere. I can't believe how much you guys love them! Remember that they teach mindfulness and relaxation.

-A great assembly where some of ours even got up and presented all our work in the gully and how much we have managed to earn with our plant stall.

-A beautiful flower from Lexy and her Mum which has already found its place in Miss Cooper's kitchen with some lovely red roses from Roman as well. Thank you!

What a great term, Room 32. I am so proud of you all and think that you have all grown so much this year. I can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings us. In the mean time I thought I'd leave you with a good message to end with from Kid President.

Matariki

To celebrate Matariki, we decided to make ourselves some pretty lanterns.

The first step was to get us a lot of cans. Thank you to all the parents who sent in some.

The next step was ripping off labels and getting them ready. We are really lucky to have some students in our class who love having jobs and this happened very easily.

After that, we got out our hammers and off we went. Miss Cooper got quite lucky because it was a beautiful day and we spent most of our time hammering outside. It was quite a melodious tune.

Matariki is a great time to think of new goals and resolutions - it's great to see all these goals popping out on our blogs. I hope we will achieve them all in the next two terms.

Buddy Class Time

Room 32 was very lucky to get to spend some time with our Buddy class, Room 12 on Tuesday. Not only did we get our fingers hammered by others, but we also did some Matariki word searches and got to read some of their work and read some books with them. We had such a great time!

We also left behind some happy Year 2s. I hope we get to go back to visit in Term 3 as well.
