Step 2: Imagine you went for a walk in the forest and found a black hat, but it's not an ordinary black hat. What do you think would come out of the hat? What would happen next? Put your story on your blog.
Blog Writing for Term 3 Week 6
WALT: describe mood and emotion to expand on our writing.
Step 1: Watch the Bridge.
Step 2: On your blog, you can choose to either write out this story and expand on the mood and emotion of each character. Otherwise you can choose to write your own story with a similar moral/theme.
Blog Writing for Term 2 Week 11:
WALT: use better vocabulary (whispered instead of said, gigantic instead of big).
I need to:
Think of better words I can use when writing.
Use a thesaurus to find more interesting words.
Use a range of adjectives.

2. Write your own story about bullying/being mean to others.

Blog Writing for Term 2 Week 9.
WALT: use language features in our writing.
Step 1: Watch A Cloudy Lesson below.
Step 2:
On your blog, you can choose from the below choices. Make sure you are using language features in both though:
Similes - use like or as to compare to something else
Onomatopoeia - Sounds such as BOOM!
Alliteration - same letter sounds starting words in a row - She sells sea shells.
Metaphors - some of you will know what these are.
Personification - describe something that isn't human as if it is human- The rain jumps down the hill.
1. Describe what happens in the video. Tell it like a story.
2. Choose your own 'story' like a Cloudy Lesson about something else(such as why does it rain? How are waves formed? Why are flowers shaped the way they are?). You are allowed to make up why! Tell a story, don't be scientific but BE CREATIVE.
Blog Writing for Term 2 Week 8
Step 1: Watch The Catch below.
Step 2: Write down all the emotions you can see in the little boy throughout the video.
Step 3: Plan your writing using the example from 'Costume Drama'. Write out the narrative of what happened and don't forget to use all those emotions! I wonder if you can create a mood.
Blog Writing for Term 2 Week 7
WALT: use descriptive language and/or our imagination to respond to a video.
Step 1: Watch the Clocktower video below.
Step 2: Choose one of the following and write your own story. Post this in your own blog with the title: Week 5 - The Clocktower.
Option 1: Write a prequel to this story. How did the girl get there? Did a witch curse her? Was she tricked by an evil prince? YOU DECIDE. Please write this as a story.
Option 2: Write about how this girl gets rescued? How will the clock work without her? Who will save her? YOU DECIDE. Please write this as a story.
Option 3: Write a description about this story. Think of the mood and use descriptive language in your writing. THIS IS NOT A STORY. You are describing the scene and setting.
